indian wedding

i only captured two rituals in my camera. i didn't even have shots of the wedding day.this was partly due to the power interruptions in the village. my batteries failed me :(

since i didn't have much of freedom to stroll along the villages of Batala, the neighbors' homes offered a good view.

mendhi

i went to india to attend my friend Seema's wedding. first thing they did was to get me a mendhi (a hand tattoo they place on the bride's female friends).. tradition says that the darker the mendhi, the better is the female's relationship with her in-laws.
